Nutrition - The Often Overlooked Culprit to Dis-Ease
In this office, we look at the body as a whole and therefore want to help you achieve your health and wellness goals through a complete and thorough process. We prefer to see how chiropractic can most benefit you and add any supplemental care after a short time period delegated on a case by case basis. This is when massage therapy, functional rehabilitation (active care), and/or nutritional counseling would be integrated into your care recommendation.
The nutritional counseling done in this office does not include any blood work. This is a different holistic approach to looking at your bodies nutritional balance. Dr. Brie Gindele performs the nutritional examinations and was trained by other doctors of Chiropractic that have been doing these exams and finding amazing results in their own offices. The courses were sponsored and hosted by Standard Process, the supplement brand that is offered in our office. The nutrition exam used in this office has been put together by the International Foundation for Nutrition and Health (IFNH), a non-profic educational organization supporting health care professionals. This examination was developed to incorporate the physical exam taught in medical schools in the 40's and 50's that included quick and easy tests that looked at function vs. pathology. This exam is a systematic approach to looking at the bodies overall nutritional balance and finding the what your body needs on an INDIVIDUAL basis, so every persons exam varies on how their body responds to the tests as well as the supplements.
Here are a few of the areas the exam tests:
- Digestion
- Calcium levels
- Essential Fatty Acids
- Sugar Handling
- Adrenal Health
- Endocrine Function
- B Vitamin Deficiencies
- Toxicity Levels
